    30-Minute Cinnamon Oat Baked Pears

    Refined Sugar Free, Gluten Free

There are plenty of times when I am craving something sweet but don’t want to do hours of baking or make something that requires a lot of labor. I tend to stay away from desserts with a lot of refined sugar. I usually immediately feel bad (upset stomach etc.) after eating and completely regret it. Mike actually is the same way too!

When I am craving something sweet, I could, and sometimes do, just cut up some fruit and that does the trick. But sometimes I want just a little bit more! Or I am craving something warm with some additional flavors. These Cinnamon Oat Baked Pears DEFINETELY hit the spot. They are the perfect amount of sweetness and are so incredibly delicious. While they are perfect as dessert, they also would make a great breakfast with some yogurt- yum!

    Ingredients + Types of Pears

This recipe only requires a handful of wholesome ingredients. We purchased everything from Azure Standard as we like to buy things we eat often in bulk ( oats & honey in this case).

    Our favorite honey:

    Our favorite Quick Organic Oats:

The only other ingredients needed are ground cinnamon, cloves, crushed nuts like walnuts (optional), lemon juice, vanilla, sea salt, butter, and of course, pears! For this recipe, you need pears that hold their shape pretty well as they will be baked. Great options include Bosc, Anjou and Concorde.

    Baking Tools + Recipe

This recipe requires no special tools or gadgets. All you need is a baking dish and the usual mixing bowl, measuring cups and spoons. Easy!
Here are a few of our favorite standard baking tools:

    • Staub Baking Dish
    • Mixing Bowls
    • Stainless Steel Measuring Cups
    • Olivewood Mixing Spoons

Start be preheating your oven to 375 degrees (F). Next, mix together your oats, cinnamon, honey, cloves, crushed nuts (optional) lemon juice, vanilla, salt and butter.

Pour 1 tbsp of your melted butter in your baking dish and spread around. Half each of your washed pears and scoop out the seeds and a bit of the core/flesh so that you have a small pocket for the oat mixture.

**Swap with vegan butter and use agave for a vegan option.

Place spoonful of oat mixture into each pear, packing it in and spreading a little on the top as well. Once all are filled, place your pears in your buttered baking dish and sprinkle with a little more cinnamon and drizzle a little more honey over the top as well.

Cover your dish with foil and bake for 30 minutes, removing the cover half way through. Bake 5-7 minutes longer if you’d like a little more crunch on your oat mixture. Serve immediately and enjoy!
