Indulge in this not-so-guilty but oh-so-delicious easy Sunday brunch recipe! You can make this treat the night before, and it’s easy enough for you to make the morning of. This recipe serves 4-6 people and can easily be doubled for those surprise morning (in-laws) visits.
Delicious Oven Baked French Toast
Ingredients
- 1 Loaf Brioche or French Bread Can use gluten free too!
- 2 Cups Non Dairy Milk I used Almond Milk
- 3 Large Eggs
- 8 Oz Cream Cheese I used dairy free
- 1/4 Cup Honey Can substitute agave or any other sweetener
- 1 Tsp Vanilla Extract
- 1 Cup Fresh or Frozen Berries
- ½ Cup Melted Butter
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Grease 9” x 13” glass baking dish with your favorite non-stick spray.
- Cut bread into small cubes and place into baking dish.
- Whisk eggs in a mixing bowl. Add in almond milk, vanilla, cinnamon, and honey
- If you’re making this the night before, pour the mixture in #4 over the bread. Cover pan and place in fridge. The next day, remove from fridge and allow it to sit out for 30 minutes. Add small cubes of cream cheese between bread cubes and sprinkle berries on top. Add extra cinnamon on top before baking.
- If you’re making this the morning of, add small cubes of cream cheese between bread cubes and sprinkle berries on top. Pour the mixture in #4 over the bread. Add extra cinnamon on top before baking.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes. Pour melted butter over dish and bake 5 more minutes
- Remove from oven and drizzle with honey, powdered sugar, whipped cream, or anything else you’d like. Enjoy!
